At TAYUMANO CHASO, we regularly host workshops where you can learn the art and knowledge of brewing Japanese tea.

We offer Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced curricula designed to satisfy everyone from beginners who are just starting to brew tea at home to aspiring professionals who wish to open their own shop.

About the Workshop Content

Beginner Level

The concept of the Beginner Level is to "Learn to brew a single tea exactly the way you like it."

By learning the theory and practicing the techniques, you will be able to brew your perfect cup, whether it's tea you purchased yourself or a gift you received.

 

Intermediate Level

The concept of the Intermediate Level is to "Learn to choose the type of tea you love."

Through tasting and comparing eight different types of tea, you will learn the distinctions between origins, cultivation methods, and processing techniques. This will empower you to find the tea you love, even with only text descriptions from a select shop or online store.

 

Advanced Level

The concept of the Advanced Level is to "Learn the difference in cultivars and discover your favorite tea."

By comparing different cultivars grown in the same region by the same producer, you will learn to pinpoint your preferred cultivar and, ultimately, your favorite cup.
